Research Partnership: HIRANGI, WindNZ, Kapiti Energy Resources Kapiti Energy Resources Ltd. announces its partnership with Hirangi and WindNZ to develop wind farms and participate in wind energy research for the North Island of New Zealand. The Hau Whaka Ora Tree Farm has been selected as a test site for the Wellington area. A research site for development of a hybrid wind/hydro power generation facility has been selected in the Hawke's Bay area. The Hau Whaka Ora site, once approved, will be a $100 Million (NZD) project, with generating capabilities of approximately 90MW.
